Quick hits week 15 2017

Any of you Carson Wentz owners out there that are worried about Nick Foles being able to take care of the job should pick up Trevor Siemian from the Broncos as they have a favorable matchup against the Colts this week. Siemian should be available in most single QB leagues, but probably not in duel QB leagues. He has been surprisingly decent since re-taking the starting QB position back.

Demaryius Thomas is probably the biggest advocator for Siemian to remain the starting QB as over the past two weeks he has been targeted 22 times. Thomas needs to win more one on one balls but the fact that Siemian is always looking his way his a plus for PPR leagues.

The Lions have a very favorable matchup against the Bears this week, and at this point in the season the safest way to the playoffs for them would be to win out. That means Matthew Stafford is going to come out hurling the ball early and often, especially coming off a two INT game, look for him to have a huge game against the Bears.

Ditto for Theo Riddick, who I’m not sure why the Lions haven’t named their starter at RB already, this guy produces every time he is given the opportunity. Riddick had 13 touches for 93 yards and two TDs in a narrow win. He is a threat to score anytime he touches the ball.

If you have Marvin Jones Jr. / Golden Tate / Eric Ebron then you should also start all of them as they could easily put up 30+ points on the Bears and the Lions simply do not favor the run game.

If the weather is anything close to what it was last weekend in Buffalo, then LeSean McCoy is set to have another huge game as he seemingly only gets better with the more snow on the ground. Last week during a blizzard he ran the ball 32 times for 156 yards and a TD. McCoy could lead you to the fantasy football championship.

Aaron Rodgers coming back against the Panthers could lead to a loss for if he comes out firing on all cylinders. Last week the Panthers escaped a narrow defeat but allowed Case Keenum to throw for 280 yards and two TDs. Rodgers should do at least that well against the Panthers if not better, if you have him on your fantasy roster start him this week.

The Ravens all of a sudden found an offense and it all starts with finding their RB of the future off of Seattle’s practice squad. Alex Collins has been nothing short of a blessing for the Ravens as he continues to get better each week. Collins ran all over the Steelers this week for 20 touches and 166 yards and a TD. This week he gets to play the Browns who seemingly can’t stop anyone on offense, in a game the Ravens must win look for them to feed Collins early and often.

Joe Flacco has also looked better as of lately, which has a lot to do with having a competent running game. If Flacco threw for 269 yards and two TDs against the Steelers, think about what he will do against the Browns. He is a no-brainer to start on your fantasy football team this week.

The Vikings host the Bengals this week who just gave up 33 points to the Bears and allowed their rookie QB Mitch Trubisky to have a career game against them. If your fantasy football roster contains the likes of Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen, Case Keenum, or Jerrick McKinnon they should all be instantly starting this week. Diggs and Thielen should be started each week regardless of whom they play as both have the ability to break off a TD at any point in time. McKinnon is getting the nod because the Bengals just gave up over 200 yards rushing to the Bears, McKinnon should hurt them on the ground and the pass game.

The Saints need to keep winning in a big way, so narrowly losing to the Falcons last week is not a good thing for the Jets, who are now starting a new QB. Look for Drew Brees to have a huge game against the lifeless Jets. Michael Thomas/Alvin Kamara/ Mark Ingram are also three people you should absolutely start as they all have favorable matchups and the Saints are out to win the best way they know how, on offense.

Nick Foles just became the most popular man in Philadelphia, and his first game as the starter is against the Giants, which should be a huge confidence booster for him. Foles threw for 20 TDs in 2013 as the starter for the Eagles, so it’s not outside the realm to think that with a more talented roster that he could do just as well if not better now. He is worth a start in duel QB leagues for fantasy football.

The Patriots vs. Steelers game is almost certainly going to be an offensive shootout between to juggernauts. Tom Brady & Ben Roethlisberger should be started every week regardless but this game could lead to some huge fantasy football points being scored.

Alfred Morris is worth a start at the Cowboys need to win out to get to the playoffs and they play the overrated Raiders defense, he should have yet another big game.

Jimmy Garoppolo has proven he is the real deal at QB and continues to get better each week for the 49ers. He is 2-0 as a starter, against sub-par teams of course, but has not loss. The 49ers lack playmakers on offense, so it is scary to think what he might be able to do with some more talent around him. As of right now he is worthy of a start in duel QB fantasy football leagues.

Marquise Goodwin went from available in every fantasy football league to a fantasy football FLEX starter with the 49ers QB change. Goodwin has quickly become Garoppolo’s favorite target and he is having some huge games down the stretch.
