Fantasy Thoughts 2016 Week 9

By Chad Stapley
Chad Stapley Blake Bortles needs some help from his defense and his new OC, since after Thursday they fired their OC. Bortles threw for 337 yards and three TDs, a great fantasy football performance, but the Jags still lost. The Jags as a whole only attempted to run the ball 11 times, that is absolutely awful.

Allen Hurns & Allen Robinson are both studs, start both of them every week as they continue to have big games weekly.

Marcus Mariota continues to dismantle NFL defenses, this week he went 18/22 for 270 yards and two TDs. He is a big reason why the Titans are in contention for their division title. He is true QB1 in fantasy football.

The two headed monster of DeMarco Murray & Derrick Henry has proven to be deadly and big fantasy football point producers. The duo combined for 37 carries for 183 yards and two TDs. Henry may be a hot commodity in the trade market as Murray may be dealing with an injury.

Kirk Cousins is elite, he just doesn’t have a defense that can stop anyone. Cousins threw for 458 yards and two TDs and he was a big reason why Washington was in the entire game.

Robert Kelley is the hottest young RB on the market as he filled in for the injured Matt Jones and did wonderful. Kelley ran the ball 21 times for 87 yards and a TD. If he is still available he could be a nice addition to your fantasy football team.

Jamison Crowder has quickly become the #1WR for Washington. This week he caught nine passes for 107 yards and a TD.

Jeremy Hill & Giovani Bernard fantasy football owners should watch frantically who gets the hot hand out of the gate in the first quarter. Whomever starts better out of the duo typically gets the ball more that game. These RBs are both stars when it comes to fantasy football they just need to be on different teams.

Tyler Eifert proved that he is one of the best TEs in the NFL when healthy. He is also a monster in fantasy football as he caught nine passes for 102 yards and a TD.

Tom Brady makes all of his fantasy football owners happy each week. Brady demolished the Bills for 315 passing yards and four TDs.

Chris Hogan could be a sneaky good FLEX addition for your team as he caught four passes for 91 yards and a TD against a better than average Bills defense.

Mike Gillislee might be seeing the ball a lot more at RB for the Bills with the performance he put up this week. He ran the ball 12 times for 85 yards and a TD and he caught three passes. If he is still available in your fantasy football league he should be an instant add.

Matt Forte came on in the second half to give the Jets a win and he made a lot of fantasy football players very happy with his 82 yards rushing and two TDs.

Quincy Enunwa keeps making big plays for the Jets, he could be a great FLEX option for a deep fantasy football league. He caught four passes for 93 yards and a TD this week.

Theo Riddick is one of the most dynamic players in the NFL when he is healthy. Even in a loss to the Texans Riddick stood out as a playmaker. Riddick had 11 rushes for 56 yards and caught eight passes for 77 yards and a TD. He is a stud of a fantasy football player.

Kansas City should just let Alex Smith takes his time coming back from injury because Nick Foles looked like a far better answer to the offense than Smith. Foles threw for 223 yards with two TDs and no turnovers and Smith threw for 127 yards with one TD and no turnovers.

C.J. Prosise is going to make noise in the fantasy football world as he is a playmaker with the ball in his hands. This week the youngster ran the ball four times for 23 yards and caught four passes for 80 yards. He could be an excellent option for the FLEX spot if he continues to play this well.

Is this the second coming of Tim Hightower? The Saints owe the victory to him as the Seahawks could not find an answer for his running style. Hightower ran the ball 26 times for 102 yards. He could be a nice RB2 option for your fantasy team.

Derek Carr puts on his best Tom Brady impression every week, his team just always seem to be coming from behind. Carr threw for 513 yards and four TD to lead his team to an OT victory. He is a clear cut star in fantasy football and should be started every week.

Ditto for Amari Cooper and his 12 catch 173 yard performance. Cooper is easily one of the best WR in the NFL and he produces week in and week out for fantasy football.

Jacquizz Rodgers found his groove in Tampa Bay and his fantasy football contributions are making a lot of people happy. Rodgers is a nice RB2 or FLEX option as he seemingly finds the end zone each week.

J.J. Nelson might finally be ready to fulfill his potential that he had coming out of college. Nelson caught eight passes for 79 yards and two TDs this week. Keep an eye on him as he can be a sneaky good FLEX option for your team.

Aaron Rodgers did everything he could to will his team to a win and still could not make it happen. He threw for four TDs and ran for 60 yards. Rodgers scores oodles of points in fantasy football and should be started every week.

Matt Ryan finally has all the pieces on offense to make a run at a Super Bowl. Ryan looked flawless against the Packers going for 288 yards and three TDs.

The Cowboys against the Eagles featured to dominant rookie QBs in Carson Wentz & Dak Prescott and both played quite well. Wentz threw for 202 yards with one TD and Prescott threw for 287 yards with two TDs with one being the game winning TD pass in OT. Both of these guys should be starting on your fantasy football team as they both win and produce on the field.

Ezekiel Elliott had another monster game running 22 times for 96 yards and catching four passes for 52 yards.

Dez Bryant welcomed himself back from injury by catching four passes for 113 yards and a TD, his fantasy football owners rejoiced as he looked pretty darn good for missing a few games.
