       Waiver Wire Gemstones: Week 11

                   College Fantasy Football

Quarterbacks

Charlie Brewer, Baylor

Ownership Percentage: 2%

With quarterback Zac Smith sidelined by a shoulder injury, freshman Charlie Brewer started the last two games and ranks among the top ten performers at the position, scoring 63 fantasy points. The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder has passed for 732 yards and six touchdowns. In the loss versus Texas Tech on Saturday, he set school records with 43 completions and 63 attempts. Tough schedule ahead with Iowa State and TCU, but Baylor likely a heavy underdog in both contests and Brewer—if he starts—will throw plenty of passes in the second half for garbage-time production. Fantasy diehards must monitor Baylor's quarterback situation closely.

Tyree Johnson, Buffalo

Ownership Percentage: 3%

After missing most of October, Tyree Johnson returned two games ago and has played well. He led Buffalo to a 38-28 victory over Bowling Green while completing 23 of 37 passes for 406 yards and three touchdowns. Johnson and the Bulls have tasty matchups against MAC opponents Ball State and Ohio during the fantasy playoffs.

Other quarterbacks to procure:

Hayden Moore, Cincinnati

Jarrett Stidham, Auburn

Running Backs

Rodney Anderson, Oklahoma

Ownership Percentage: 29%

Do you want to win the Championship trophy? Grab Rodney Anderson off the waiver wire. With 84.4 points, he is the highest-scoring running back during the last two weeks, rushing for 262 yards, grabbing seven passes for 187 yards and scoring six times. There is no reason for the sensational sophomore to remain available in so many leagues.

Jonathan Ward, Central Michigan

Ownership Percentage: 16%

The Chippewas’ ball carrier stands among the elite runners the past two weeks. Ward has recorded back-to-back 100-yard games and scored three touchdowns. He also has five catches for 108 yards. Central Michigan travels to Kent State this weekend, and Ward provides a nice flex option for fantasy managers.

Malcolm Perry, Navy

Ownership Percentage: 7%

There are not many better fantasy producers in college football than the quarterback in Navy’s triple-option offense. With Zach Abey sidelined, Malcolm Perry earned the start against SMU, and he exceeded all expectations with four touchdowns and 282 yards rushing. Perry qualifies at running back and quarterback, and is a sneaky acquisition off the waiver wire for the playoff run. The shifty speedster suffered an ankle injury late in the game versus the Mustangs, and no decision has yet been made by the coaching staff in regard to the starter against Notre Dame.

Matt Colburn, II, Wake Forest

Ownership Percentage: 2%

In Total Offense, Wake Forest boasts the eighteenth ranked unit in college football: The Demon Deacons average 474 yards and 35.1 points per game. Injuries in the backfield promoted Matt Colburn, II and he has responded to the challenge. He has carried the football 75 times for 491 yards and three touchdowns during the last three games. North Carolina State and Duke are next on the schedule, and Colburn should continue to see plenty of opportunities.

Other running backs to procure:

Aeris Williams, Mississippi State

A.J. Dillon, Boston College

Wide Receivers

Jordan Lasley, UCLA

Ownership Percentage: 32%

The Bruins defense forces the offense to put up well over 30 points a game in order to win. QB Josh Rosen returned last week, and targeted Lasley often without Darren Andrews in the lineup. The junior home run hitter snatched seven passes for 162 yards and a touchdown. For the season, Lasley averages over 18 yards per catch and has reached the end zone four times. The Bruins play USC and California the final two games of the year, and Lasley will likely continue burning opponents deep.

Ike Lewis, Appalachian State

Ownership Percentage: 12%

With very little attention in the fantasy community, Ike Lewis has catapulted himself among the elite receivers. During the last five weeks, the Mountaineers’ senior has 27 receptions for 448 yards and seven touchdowns. His college career is nearly over, but Lewis is determined to make lasting memories. Appalachian State scores over 30 points a game and has a 5-1 conference record.  The Mountaineers are fighting for the Sun Belt title and face Georgia State after a bye week. Lewis might be a difference maker in fantasy championship games.

Trevon Brown, East Carolina

Ownership Percentage: 8%

It does not matter who throws the football for the Pirates: Trevon Brown continues to make plays in the aerial assault. The East Carolina junior has totaled 44 catches for 671 yards and scored five touchdowns. The Pirates are one of the worst teams in the nation and conclude the season against Cincinnati and Memphis. In both games, East Carolina will likely play from behind and throw over 40 passes. Brown is worth a waiver wire investment this week.

Other wide receivers to procure:

Elijah King, Texas State

DaeSean Hamilton, Penn State
