DFS Cash Game Breakdown 2019 Week 13

Quarterback

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

Every week you go to create a cash game lineup, ask yourself these questions in this order:

  • Is Lamar Jackson on the slate?
  • If yes, play him
  • If no:
  • Are you sure?
  • Still no, look for a cheap passer with rushing potential

Lamar Jackson has completely broken the pricing algorithms across the industry. He's the highest priced passer on Fanduel by just $100 and he's cheaper than Patrick Mahomes on DraftKings. Jackson is on pace to set the record for fantasy points by a quarterback and he's not even the highest-priced option on DraftKings!

The 49ers defense has been incredibly stout this year and Jackson could not care less. He decimated the Patriots, who are the only team with a better defensive unit against passers this year.

Jackson gives you the rushing projection of an RB1 and the passing projection of a low-end QB1. His price is comically far off of what it should be to get you off of playing him in cash.

Running Back

Benny Snell Jr., Pittsburgh Steelers

Benny Snell Jr. is only in play if James Conner sits again but the early-week reports make that sound likely.

Snell carried the Ball 21 times in a game that saw Jaylen Samuels completed phased out of Pittsburgh's offense. Samels rushed the ball twice and recorded three receptions. It seems like Pittsburgh is banishing Samuels back to the H-Back/Tight End hybrid role he played in college and that makes Snell wildly underpriced.

This was also Snell's second game with 18 touches this season. Samuels missed Week 5 and Snell carried the ball 17 times while adding one reception.

As a home-favorite who is going to get the bulk of his team's carries, it's hard to move off Snell at his price.

Christian McCaffrey, Carolina Panthers

DraftKings held steady with Christian McCafrey's $10,500 price tag while Fanduel bumped him up to $11,000. Neither price is high enough as McCaffrey has had no problem beating his DraftKings price and Fanduel give your more salary cap to work with.
McCaffrey leads the NFL in:

  • Yards from scrimmage - 155.4 per game
  • Touchdowns - 16 total
  • Touches - 26.3 per game

McCaffrey is the other algorithm-breaker this season. He's not as much of a must-play as Jackson but there are multiple ways to save salary this week. When you can afford to get CMC in your lineup you have to do so.

Wide Receiver

DeVante Parker, Miami Dolphins

DeVante Parker has come on in the past six weeks. He has 55 targets over that span, fourth in the NFL. The loss of Preston Williams has been a major factor in his resurgence. Now Miami could be without Jakeem Grant and Albert Wilson this week. Grant was carted off with a leg injury while Wlson was unable to finish Week 12 due to a rib injury.

The deeper into the season Miami forges the more their targets appear to be funneling to Parker.

This week they face the Eagles and are unsurprisingly underdogs again. Philadelpia has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing receiving units this season. Keeping buying receiving volume against the Eagles' atrocious ass defense this week with Parker.

Dede Westbrook, Jacksonville Jaguars

Excluding the game that Dede Westbrook left with an injury, the Biletnikoff winner is averaging 6.9 targets per game and 10.4 PPR points per game. He's playing second-fiddle to D.J. Chark but that's okay when you play the Buccaneers.

Tampa Bay has allowed the most receptions (171), receiving yards (2,267) and receiving touchdowns (18) to opposing wideouts.

The Jacksonville/Tampa Bay game also has the highest total of the slate at 49. Cheap receivers against the Bucs have been the cheat code for fantasy this season.

Tight End

Jack Doyle, Indianapolis Colts

Th Colts are going to be without Eric Ebron for the rest of the season as he recovers from multiple ankle surgeries. They are also likely to be without Parris Campbell and Devin Funchess who are nursing injuries of their own.

That leaves Jack Doyle as their only tight end and one of their only receiving options period.

Eric Ebron also leaves behind a team-high 52 targets plus 495 air yards, third on the team.

The Colts are underdogs this week which should force them to throw the ball and that means even more targets for Doyle.

Defense

LA Chargers

The Chargers face one of the league's worst offense this week in Denver and the Broncos don't seem to have any way to mask Brandon Allen.

Allen is averaging 5.8 adjusted yards per attempt and has thrown three scores to two picks. He's also taking a sack on nearly 10% of his dropbacks.

The Chargers are allowing the fifth-fewest points (18.4) and yards (317.5) to their opponents this season. They should have no problem rolling over the Broncos this week.
