Quarterback

Justin Herbert, LA Chargers

Herbert's price on DraftKings dropped $6,900 after a quiet game versus the Bills that saw him only score once. On the year, he's averaging 301.5 yards and 2.3 scores per game. He even adds something with his legs. Herbert is posting 4.1 carries for 18.5 yards and .3 scores on the ground. Herbert is simply the cheapest way to buy into an elite quarterback.

Taysom Hill, New Orleans

Hill is going to be one of the highest-floor fantasy passers until Drew Bress comes back. In two games as a starter, Hill is averaging 10 carries for 46.5 yards and two scores. If he had started every game this year, Hill would be first in carries, third in yards, and first in rushing touchdowns. As just a three-point favorite, he may actually be forced into dropping back at a higher rate as well.

Running Back

David Montgomery, Chicago

As ugly as it sounds, Montgomery projects as one of the best mid-range RB values every week. This week, there are no great alternatives in the same range so we have to go with Montgomery. Since Tarik Cohen went down, Montgomery is averaging 14.1 carries and 5.4 targets per game. He is posting 81.8 yards from scrimmage on that volume and has seen no fewer than five targets in all but one game in that span.

Austin Ekeler, LA Chargers

Both sites were simply reluctant to price Ekeler up to absurd prices based on his big Week 12. They should have. He recorded 14 carries and a whopping 16 targets, 11 of which he converted into 85 yards. The Chargers are slight underdogs to the Patriots this week which should keep them throwing from a modest deficit. That makes Ekeler the closest thing we have to Alvin Kamara this week since Kamara has been ruined by Taysom Hill's rushing.

Wide Receiver

Allen Robinson, Chicago

Robinson has played in three games that Mitchell Trubisky has started and finished. In those games, he has averaged 10 targets and 304 air yards per game. That equates to a 32% air yards share and a 28% target share. The quarterback play may not be ideal be we bet on volume above all else and Robinson should see plenty of it.

Brandin Cooks, Houston

With Will Fuller suspended, Kenny Stills released, and Randall Cobb on IR, Brandin Cooks is going to dominate the targets in Houston. The Texans are averaging the third-most passing yards. Cooks is only $5,600 on DraftKings.

Tight End

Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia

Goedert is once again an elite fantasy tight end. In the past three games, Goedert has posted a 19% target share and a 23% air yards share. He is fourth among tight ends in WOPR (a weighted metric of target and air yards share) over that span. He's the fifth-highest priced tight end on the DraftKings main slate and only one of the four tight ends with a higher WOPR are on this slate.

Jordan Akins, Houston

If it weren't for a four-yard rushing attempt, Akins would have been blanked on the Thanksgiving slate. However, he ran a route on 54% of Deshaun Watson's dropbacks and has eight targets in his previous two games. He is the best punt play of the week.

Defense

Los Angeles Chargers

Since returning from the reserve/COVID-19 list, Cam Newton is averaging one touchdown and .4 fumbles per game to go along with nearly two sacks. The Patriots have 18.9 points per game since Newton's return. Facing Newton is simply one of the best matchups for a defense on any week.
