Yahoo Sports DFS and Watch List Options

Yahoo Sports provides weekly DFS and an overall Yahoo Cup for the NFL season. We’ll try and find players who will outperform their value and give you flexibility with your lineups. At the end we’ll take a look at week seven for players to stream or even pick up ahead of this week’s waiver claims.

Quarterbacks

Deshaun Watson – Houston – $33

HOU -3 at WSH o/u 42.5

Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 406 yards against Washington last Sunday. Watson has thrown seven touchdowns and zero interceptions over his last two games. Coming off a bye and being able to get more reps with his new target, Demaryius Thomas, I like Watson and the Texans offense this weekend.

Marcus Mariota – Tennessee – $26

TEN at IND -1.5, 49.5

Mariota and the Titans have found a nice rhythm the last two weeks. Blake Bortles didn’t have a problem against the Colts secondary last week (320-2). We get the potential of a few rushing yards or score.

Running Backs

David Johnson – Arizona – $26

OAK at ARI -5.5, 41
Cardinals’ offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich has brought life back to Johnson. He has caught 11 passes over the last two weeks and totaled 183 yards with two touchdowns last week. Owners should finally get back-to-back big weeks from D.J.

Ezekiel Elliot – Dallas – $25

DAL at ATL -3, 48.5
A stud running back whose price did not change after 187 total yards and two touchdowns against Philadelphia. Easy to click and forget against the Falcons.

Theo Riddick – Detroit – $11

CAR -4.5 at DET, 49.5
Riddick hasn’t had a rushing attempt in his last two games. He has stepped up with receiving lines of 7-36 and 6-60. With Marvin Jones Jr. questionable and Golden Tate in Philly, Riddick is a de facto WR who is trusted by Stafford. If you need a cheap option that won’t get you a zero, Riddick is the guy.

Wide Receivers

Mike Evans – Tampa Bay – $22

TB at NYG -1.5, 53
There’s a lot of WR I like in the 22-20 dollar range. Evans has been silent the last two weeks as the targets have been there (16), but the finishing product has not. While there are questions about Dirk Kotter taking over the offense (3 points with over 500 yards of offense), that won’t slow down the passing attempts.

T.Y. Hilton – Indianapolis – $21

TEN at IND
Like Evans, Hilton is in an offense that presents plenty of opportunity. He converted seven targets into a 3-77 line last week and I’ll bet at home he turns in a bigger line against another division rival.

JuJu Smith-Schuster – Pittsburgh – $20

PIT -5.5 at JAX, 46.5
When you see a playmaker with a lower price tag you assume a tough matchup or poor play in recent weeks. That’s not the case with JuJu. We get road Ben who will be on east coast time against a reeling Jacksonville squad. JuJu on that beat.

Amari Cooper – Dallas – $20

DAL at ATL
Dak Prescott has targeted Cooper 18 times in their first two games together. The offense might limit his ‘wow’ potential, but the matchup and opportunity make him a safe option as a WR2/3 lineup play.

Tight Ends

Jared Cook – Oakland – $16

OAK at ARI
Cook is the Amari Cooper of the TE world. When he goes off it’s a big week. Everyone is jumping on Zona this weekend; it’s worth a shot to be different with Cook.

Jordan Reed – Washington – $14

HOU at WSH
While I give some obvious names at other positions, when it comes to TE’s I like to take shots and save salary. Reed has churned out below average weeks, but he’s still rolling along and getting enough run that (fingers crossed) this week he scores a TD!

Jonnu Smith – Tennessee – $11

TEN at IND
I have a weird quirk where I chase the roller coaster scores. If a player has a down week after he went off, I’ll jump right back on. If he has put together multiple good weeks I assume the regression is coming. Smith has life because he has scored in back-to-back weeks. The Titans need a playmaker at TE and it looks like Mariota is confident in Smith as he’s getting work in red zone.

Week 12 Sneak Peek

Teams on Bye: Kansas City and L.A. Rams.

Three games on Thursday; enjoy the Turkey!

New England is a defense that I added while they are on a bye this week. Week 13 they play the Jets and week 16 has them against the Bills.

We found out that the handcuff RB in Pittsburg is Jaylen Samuels.
