Unfortunately, injuries are part of Football and pretty much every week, players go down. This week was no different. At times, some of the injuries are minor, while at others it can impact a player for multiple weeks, and even for the entire season.

Fantasy owners who lost players that are expected to miss significant time, adjustments need to be made, and the waiver wire will be your best friend.

With that said, let’s take a look at some of this week’s injuries and the impact of the injury.

LeSean McCoy – Bills: McCoy suffered a head injury that knocked him out of Sunday’s game against the Colts. There are no updates on the severity of the injury at this point, so it is uncertain how much time, if any, McCoy will miss at this point. Chris Ivory would take over the starting role should McCoy miss any time.

Sony Michel – Patriots: Michel was carted to the locker room during Sunday’s game against the Bears with what appeared to be a serious knee injury. The good news, is that initial tests reveal that there is no structural damage. He is now considered week-to-week. It is a situation worth monitoring. James White should continue to see plenty of work out of the backfield, with Kenjon Barner having an increased role during Michel’s absence.

Bilal Powell – Jets: Powell suffered a neck injury in Week 7 that prevented him from returning to the game. There are no updates on his status early in the week, but we should know more regarding the severity upon further testing. Should Powell miss time, Isaiah Crowell will likely see the bulk of the work and Trenton Cannon will work as his backup.

Albert Wilson – Dolphins: Wilson suffered a hip injury during Sunday’s loss to the Lions. Initially it was reported as a leg injury, but after the game it was confirmed that it was a hip injury and his season was in doubt. Tests results revealed that Wilson is dealing with a labral issue in his hip and best case scenario is that he misses a few weeks. He will seek a second opinion, to see if he gets better news. Kenny Stills was also injured in this contest. He suffered a groin injury that knocked him out of the game and will keep him out of the team’s next game against the Texans. The receiver situation for Miami is not pretty at this time, they are down to anny Amendola, Jakeem Grant, and DeVante Parker.

Keke Coutee – Texans: Coutee aggravated his hamstring injury on Sunday against the Jaguars and was unable to return to the game. It is an injury he has been battling, and although it is not considered serious, initial reports suggest that he is expected to miss Houston’s next game.

Torrey Smith – Panthers: Smith suffered a knee injury on Sunday that knocked him out of the game. The good news is that he reportedly avoided a serious injury. That said, it is uncertain at this moment if he will miss any time due to the injury. We should know more throughout the week.
