Diehards Drafter Tool

Order now as part of the FlashUpdate

I've been working diligently on DDT '08, and I've made many important improvements. I just wanted to throw out a quick update to detail the changes that are done.

First off, here is a screenshot of the updated DDT in action (pay no attention to the projections, they are from an '07 league).

Talking Pick Timer

I think you guys will really like this one. It will be a big hit at live drafts. Here's a screenshot of the pick timer with the available customization options.

The current time is also updated in the title bar, so if you're in a live online draft you can still see the current time when DDT is minimized.

Available Player List Improvements

I've made several changes to the players list (illustrated in the image below):

* Player Notes - As you can see in the illustration, Reggie Bush has a user-assigned note. There is a note icon next to his name in the list, and when you hover over his name you can read the note. This is a great way to store tidbits that might be important to remember during your draft.
* Player Targets - In the illustration, I set Addai's target to 1.01 (which means his target is active when he's still available after the 1.01 pick). The checkmark icon next to a player's name indicates that their user-assigned target criteria has been met.
* Numbered Rows - Every row in the player list is numbered (the first row is always #1, regardless of the sort method). This can be used to quickly count down the list.
* Custom Points - In the illustration, I've assigned a custom point total for Tomlinson. In the Points column it shows my custom value (388.00), and the default FDH value in parenthesis. This lets you quickly see how much different the FDH projections are from your own. In either case, you can view the projected stats for the player by hovering over the Points value (see the illustration below).
* Bye Week Conflicts - In the illustration (even though you can't see it) I have already drafted a RB with a week 6 bye. As a result, remaining RBs with a week 6 bye are flagged with a red X (see Addai for an example). This feature will quickly allow you find players that do or don't share a bye with a similar player already on your roster. If you hover over the conflicting bye week value, DDT will tell you which player(s) already on your roster share that bye week (see illustration below).

Improved Player Addition

The following screenshot shows 2 things: 1) an improved player addition function, and 2) the new values that you can assign to players.

When you add a player (click the "Add Player" button above the player list), there is a checkbox near the bottom that allows you to automatically draft this new player to the current owner. This should save some time having to locate the new player in the list, and then manually drafting them.

You can also see that you can assign your own custom points to players, and toggle whether to use the FDH projections, or your own custom point total.

Enter Key to Draft

As was suggested by someone, it would be nice to use the enter key to draft the selected player when you're arrowing up/down in the player list. Now you can. After you use the filter to find the player you want to draft, just click the down arrow to highlight the correct player and hit "Enter".

New Roster List

In the past, owner rosters were built into the owners list. Now the roster is in a separate window, so you can always see the entire owners list. Show a different roster by selecting an owner in the owners list. As the draft proceeds the current owner will automatically be selected with each pick (which will auto-load that owner's roster).
