Evan Engram, Jaguars Agree To Three-Year, $41 Million Deal
As NFL.com reported, after a career campaign, tight end Evan Engram is hauling in the long-term deal he desired.

Engram and the Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to terms on a three-year, $41.25 million contract ahead of Monday's deadline for franchise tagged players to work out an extension, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Sunday.

The contract includes $24 million fully guaranteed.
The Jaguars applied the franchise tag to Engram in March, but he had yet to sign his $11.34 million franchise tag tender. Any uncertainty or ill will heading into training camp has dissipated with Engram's extension, which puts him among the NFL's tight end elite.

Engram and the Jaguars were vocal about their desires to work out a multi-year pact, and their best hopes came to fruition.

Following a strong rookie campaign with the Giants in 2017, Engram underperformed and was hampered by injuries in three of his next four seasons in New York before signing a one-year deal with the Jaguars to try and resuscitate his career.

And bring it back to life he did.

The former New York Giants first-round pick fit splendidly into Doug Pederson's offense in Duval from the jump.

There's a good chance Engram's numbers will trend downward with wide receiver Calvin Ridley being added to the fray in Jacksonville, but then again, Engram was the team's third-most targeted pass-catcher last season.

With many taking the Jaguars to be the team that comes out of the AFC South, Engram finds himself in a promising situation. He's on a team with playoff aspirations, surrounded by young talent and has a quarterback that made huge strides in the right direction in Year 2 in Trevor Lawrence throwing to him.

Getting Engram anywhere past the fourth or fifth round could pay dividends to fantasy managers throughout the course of the season if he is able to stay healthy.
