Recapping the Injuries week 10 2017

By Armando Marsal
Armando Marsal Week 9 is behind us and we were able to get through it with a small amount of injuries in comparison to past weeks. Fortunately none of the injuries suffered this week appear to be season-ending, however, some players could miss multiple games due to their injuries. Let’s take a look this will impact some of these teams and what it means for fantasy owners.

Jameis Winston – Buccaneers: Winston left Sunday’s game after being tackled and hurting his shoulder. He was unable to return to the game and now the Bucs have announced that they will keep him out a few weeks so that his shoulder can heal. Winston entered Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury, but an MRI apparently revealed more damage to the shoulder. He is expected to miss at least two games, but no official timetable has been set. Ryan Fitzpatrick will start for the Bucs until Winston returns.

Dez Bryant – Cowboys: Bryant left late in Sunday’s game with an ankle injury and never returned. It is worth noting that the Cowboys had the lead with just under five minutes left in the game and there was no need to bring him back in. Following the game, Bryant said that his ankle was sore and bruised, however, initial reports suggest that he avoided a serious injury. He will likely be limited during practice this week, but should be ready for the Cowboys next game against the Falcons barring any setbacks.

Eddie Lacy – Seahawks: Lacy left Sunday’s game with a groin injury and was unable to return. He did not practice on Monday and is considered questionable for Thursday night’s game against the Cardinals. Lacy finished the day with six carries for 20 yards and one catch for 14 yards. Thomas Rawls took over the running back duties for the Seahawks and would likely get the start if Lacy is unable to play in Week 10. That said, this running back situation is one to avoid.

George Kittle – 49ers: Kittle suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter of Sunday’s game, but was able to play through it. However, he has been ruled out for Week 10 and is considered week-to-week. He was seen limping after suffering the injury on Sunday. Garrett Celek will likely get the start for the 49ers this week and until Kittle returns.

Ryan Griffin – Texans: Griffin suffered a concussion in Sunday’s loss to the Colts, which is the second of the year for him and is currently considered week-to-week. Prior to the injury, Griffin had zero targets and had been a non-factor for the Texans. Stephen Anderson is set to start at tight end if Griffin misses any time.
