Following up on this week's
Team Notes. ... The Vikings have released Wednesday's injury report in advance of the last game of the season on Sunday against the Chicago Bears at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The Vikings held a walkthrough on Christmas Day, and the practice report is an estimation.
Both running backs
Dalvin Cook (shoulder) and
Alexander Mattison (ankle) were listed as limited participants.
As CBSSports.com suggests, considering it's an estimated participation level based on a walkthrough that didn't actually happen, it's difficult at this stage to gauge Cook's chances of playing Week 17 versus the Bears, though the fact that the Vikings are locked in as the NFC's No. 6 seed in the playoffs could prompt the team to err on the side of caution and hold him out Sunday.
I'll be watching this one closely today.
