Wentz Avoids PUP List; Will Be Limited To Start Camp
As the Philadelphia Eagles reported to training camp, all eyes were on Carson Wentz, who is returning from season-ending ACL and LCL tears. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that Wentz will not be placed on the physically unable to perform list, per sources informed of the situation.

However, he will be limited in camp practices.

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the Eagles plan for Wentz from Day 1 of camp is for him to do individual and 7-on-7 drills, monitor his progress and determine later with medical staff when it’s appropriate to do full team work.

You can’t do any of that on PUP.

The final decision came after Wentz's physical. The decision means Wentz will be on the 53-man roster when the season begins.

And, depending on his progress over the next month, it's not out of the question he could be ready to start Week 1.

Stay tuned.
