The Facts: Once again, Mitchell Trubisky is in line to start at quarterback for the Steelers. In his Monday press conference, HC Mike Tomlin ruled out Pickett for the Week 15 matchup against the Colts. Pickett is still recovering from undergoing ankle surgery last week.

Diehards Line: Trubisky finished last Thursday’s loss to the Patriots 22-of-35 for 190 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Via Mike DeFabo of TheAthletic.com, Tomlin noted that he thought Trubisky got better as the game went on last week. Tomlin added, “It’s a reasonable expectation for him to be even better” with a full week of preparation. At 7-6, the Steelers remain the AFC’s No. 6 seed. But with five other teams in the conference carrying the same record — including the Colts — Pittsburgh needs a victory to stay ahead of the rest of the field.

The Facts: Jones was limited in practice all week because of the knee injury that has kept him out of the team’s last two games and he was listed as questionable on Saturday. Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Jones is not expected to play against the Giants on Monday night, however.

Diehards Line: If Jones is out, it will be the sixth game that the veteran back has missed due to injuries this season. A.J. Dillon has served as the lead back in Jones’ absence from the lineup and would continue in that role with Patrick Taylor as the No. 2. The Packers could also elevate Kenyan Drake from the practice squad for further backfield depth.

The Facts: HC Kevin Stefanski did not announce a starting quarterback heading into Sunday’s game against the Jaguars, but that won’t be his approach in the weeks to come. Stefanski said in his postgame press conference that Flacco will remain the starter for the rest of the season as long as he’s healthy.

Diehards Line: Flacco got the start in Week 14 and helped the Browns to a 31-27 win that moved them to 8-5 on the season. He signed to the Browns practice squad after Deshaun Watson’s season-ending shoulder injury and took over as the starter in Week 13 when Dorian Thompson-Robinson was out with a concussion. Flacco was 26-of-45 for 311 yards, three touchdowns and an interception on Sunday and the Browns will have a good shot at a playoff berth if he can keep playing at a similar level in the final four weeks.

The Facts: Raiders RB Josh Jacobs left Sunday's game with an apparent knee injury, per Adam Schefter.

Diehards Line:He was seen limping on the sideline during the fourth quarter.

The Facts: According to the game broadcast, Chargers QB Justin Herbert left Sunday's game due to a finger injury.

Diehards Line:Backup QB Easton Stick is in the game for the Chargers.

The Facts: Vikings WR Justin Jefferson was seen walking to the locker room halfway through the second-quarter vs the Raiders.

Diehards Line:Receivers Jordan Addison and KJ Osborn should receive more targets while Jefferson is out.

The Facts: According to Adam Schefter, Texans QB CJ Stroud is going to the locker room with an apparent head injury.

Diehards Line:Backup QB Davis Mills has entered the game.

The Facts: The Jaguars placed Kirk on the injured reserve list due to his core injury. He’s out a minimum of four weeks.

Diehards Line: Kirk is expected to undergo core muscle surgery and the Jaguars will be without a major part of their offense as a result. Kirk leads Jacksonville in receiving yards (787) this season, and he also ranks first on the team among wideouts in receptions (57). The presence of trade acquisition Calvin Ridley will help offset Kirk’s absence, though a sizeable gap exists between Ridley and Jacksonville’s next most productive wideout (Zay Jones, who has posted 186 yards on 18 catches). Tight end Evan Engram and running back Travis Etienne Jr. will be increasingly counted upon with Kirk not in the picture. Rookie Parker Washington could also figure into the mix.
