Coach Zac Taylor said after the 34-20 Bengals loss that preliminary evaluations showed that Burrow had suffered a sprained right wrist. Burrow was seen in the locker room wearing a multilayered wrap. Taylor said Burrow fell on the wrist earlier in the game before he appeared to be in serious pain after throwing a 4-yard touchdown pass to running back Joe Mixon on what was Burrow's final play. The coach said he was not aware of Burrow dealing with any wrist issue before the game. The NFL routinely looks into matters of compliance with its injury report policy. The league takes injury report violations seriously, with punishments including team fines or potentially a lost draft pick. The NFL warned teams at the spring owners meetings that they are required to list all injuries.

The Facts: Andrews' season likely ended on Thursday, HC John Harbaugh told reporters after his team's 34-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Harbaugh described his three-time Pro Bowl tight end's ankle injury as "serious" before adding it looked "like a season-ending injury."

Diehards Line: Andrews will undergo an MRI on Friday to determine the full extent of the injury, NFL Network Insider Mike Garafolo reported. The tight end injured his left ankle in the first quarter on a hip-drop tackle by Logan Wilson following a 9-yard reception in which he was brought down on the Cincinnati 4-yard line. Andrews was able to walk off the field, went to the medical tent, and then to the locker room. He later went to the X-ray room just before the team officially announced he would not return. Andrews has been one of Lamar Jackson's favorite targets in 2023, garnering 45 receptions for 544 yards and six touchdowns, and his likely absence will be difficult for the Ravens even as they head into the stretch run of the season leading the AFC North at 8-3.

The Facts: An apparent right wrist sprain ended Burrow's night on Thursday and has the Cincinnati Bengals collectively holding their breath for what's next. HC Zac Taylor told reporters following his team's 34-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens that Burrow suffered the sprain during the game, and he was not aware of any previous injury. "It looks like he sprained his wrist," Taylor said. "So, he fell on it early in the game and felt it on the touchdown pass."

Diehards Line: Video on the Prime Video broadcast of Burrow entering the stadium before the game on Thursday showed him wearing a brace on his right hand/wrist. However, Burrow did not appear on the Bengals' injury report this week. Taylor said he was not "aware" of Burrow injuring his wrist prior to Thursday night. Burrow was replaced by backup Jake Browning, who finished the game 8-of-14 passing for 68 yards with a touchdown. Prior to his departure, Burrow was 11 of 17 for 101 yards, the TD and no interceptions. Burrow dealt with a calf strain earlier this year that kept him out of the preseason and obviously hampered his play in the early going. However, Burrow and the Bengals rebounded as his calf seemed to heal up, putting together a four-game winning streak prior to a Week 10 loss to the Houston Texans. Now, there's another ailment to be concerned about.

The Facts: Following up on this week's Team Notes. ... Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Fields is expected to start against the Lions this Sunday.

Diehards Line: Fields has missed the last four games with a right thumb injury that impacted his ability to grip the ball, but practiced all of last week and on Monday. Those practices were limited sessions and head coach Matt Eberflus said on Monday that he wants to see Fields go through team drills on Wednesday before making any official determinations on his status.

The Facts: Following up on this week's Team Notes. ... The Browns announced that Watson underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) Monday on two injuries sustained on different plays in the first half of Sunday's 33-31 win over the Baltimore Ravens. Imaging on his left ankle revealed a high-ankle sprain. In addition, postgame, Deshaun notified our medical staff of a new discomfort in his right shoulder that he felt after a hit in the first half. An MRI of his right shoulder revealed a displaced fracture to the glenoid.

Diehards Line:Despite performing at a high level and finishing the game, after consultation with Browns' Head Physician, James Voos, MD, and industry-leading shoulder specialist, Neal ElAttrache, MD, it has been determined that this injury will require immediate surgical repair to avoid further structural damage. Deshaun will be placed on season-ending injured reserve and a full recovery is expected for the start of the 2024 season. ... P.J. Walker will move back into the starting lineup in Watson's absence.

The Facts: Head coach Sean McDermott said last week that he had given no consideration to firing offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, but that view changed in the wake of Monday night’s 24-22 loss to the Broncos.The Bills announced on Tuesday that they have fired Dorsey. Quarterbacks coach Joe Brady will take over the coordinator role on an interim basis.

Diehards Line: Dorsey was promoted from quarterbacks coach to the coordinator job after Brian Daboll left to become the Giants head coach in 2022. The team finished second in points last year and they are eighth in the league this season, but they have lost four of six games and have killed much of the offensive momentum they do generate by turning the ball over 18 times. Brady became the Panthers offensive coordinator under Matt Rhule after helping build a potent LSU offense around Joe Burrow, but, like Dorsey, was fired before the end of his second season. He joined the Bills staff last season and will now be tasked with putting Josh Allen and the rest of the offense on a trajectory that can get them back to the playoffs.

The Facts: After a Week 10 bye, the Dolphins are getting one of their key offensive players back at practice. Achane has been designated to return from injured reserve, opening his 21-day practice window, head coach Mike McDaniel said in his Monday press conference.

Diehards Line: Achane can return at any time — potentially as soon as the Week 11 matchup against the Raiders. McDaniel said Achane has been dealing more with a sprain than a tear, noting that the club could have had Achane wear a knee brace to continue playing. But the Dolphins didn’t think that would be the best option. Achane has been sensational as a rookie, averaging 12.1 yards per carry through four games. He’s recorded 460 yards rushing with five touchdowns and caught nine passes for 67 yards with two TDs. “We’ll see how he does today,” McDaniel said. “But I know he’s eager to play football and not observe it like he has been.”
