Caleb Sturgis and Parkey are expected to compete for the starting kicker job this season in Philadelphia. As iSportsWeb.com reminded readers, the Eagles struck gold with Parkey back in 2014 when he set the rookie record for points (150). However, with Parkey coming off of an injury that sidelined him for multiple months and Sturgis playing well in relief, the Eagles need to decide on their next long-term kicker. Sturgis excelled in the 40-49 yard range (4/4), but his overall percentages were in the bottom half of the league. Among qualified kickers, Sturgis was 25th in FG percentage and 19th in extra point percentage. Parkey was more effective -- albeit with limited samples. For now, Parkey should be the favorite to be the Eagles' kicker in 2016 but don't jump to conclusions until you have to. Whichever of the two wins the job will be of fantasy interest.
