The Facts: With their receiving corps in disarray, the Bengals rolled the dice and brought back a familiar face. The Bengals officially signed Henry on Tuesday, bringing the talented but troubled wide receiver back to Cincinnati.
Diehards Line:Due in large part to their insistence he wouldn't return, it's a risky move by the Bengals, who released Henry on April 3 following his fifth arrest since 2005. Although the charges against Henry were dropped in the April incident, he was suspended for four games by commissioner Roger Goodell for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. Henry is eligible to participate in training camp and preseason games. He could get plenty of playing time the next two weeks because starting receivers Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh both currently are injured and could be sidelined until the regular-season opener.
