The Facts: Former Bengals receiver Henry was scheduled to stand trial (again) on Monday for assault and battery charges that resulted in a hung jury earlier this month. But according to media reports emerging from Cincinnati, the charges against Henry have been dropped.
Diehards Line:Apparently, the prosecution made some preliminary motions, which were denied. After the decision was made, the state dismissed the case. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had indefinitely suspended Henry, pending the resolution of the charges arising from his most recent arrest. Now that the matter has been resolved in his favor, Henry could be free to sign with an NFL team. After being dropped by the Bengals, Henry said that he’d like to play for the Cowboys or the Saints. Assuming he's reinstated as expected, it's safe to say there will be interest.
