The Facts: The Steelers are looking to trade Davenport and are calling teams to gauge interest in a trade, NFL Network's Adam Schefter is reporting.
Diehards Line:As Profootballtalk.com's Mike Florio noted, when the Steelers picked Rashard Mendenhall in the first round of the 2008 draft, it became fairly obvious that Davenport would be the odd man out. The former Packer played in 15 games -- starting one -- for the Steelers in 2007, scoring five touchdowns while rushing for 499 yards. Davenport is signed through 2008, and he’s scheduled to earn a base salary of $1 million this season.
