The Facts: The Titans expect Crumpler to visit them in Nashville this week and are optimistic about their chances to add the veteran, who could serve as a key safety valve for quarterback Vince Young. "He's probably going to come to Nashville in the next week," GM Mike Reinfeldt said. "I would think we would be competitive and I think he is looking more for the right fit at this point in time — the right city, the right team, a playoff-potential team. That's more what he's looking for."
Diehards Line:Crumpler, who recently was released by the Falcons, and the Titans met Friday at the NFL Scouting Combine. Reinfeldt and HC Jeff Fisher said they think the Titans have a chance to lock up Crumpler before free agency begins Friday. "He's one of the better players over the last few years at his position," Fisher said. "He's a complete tight end, he blocks, he's a receiving tight end, he does everything. ..." It should be noted that Crumpler's agent, James Williams, was reluctant to say much about his client's intentions. "He had a good visit with them and that's about all I'm going to say," Williams said.
