The Facts:
The Chiefs and Mahomes have agreed to terms on a restructured contract that brings his compensation back in line with other top QBs, sources tell NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Raporpot.
Diehards Line:
The new agreement gives Mahomes $210.6 million between 2023 and 2026, the most money in NFL history over a four season span. His compensation for those years is now guaranteed. Mahomes has now received over $273 million in guarantees since the deal was originally signed in 2020 -- an NFL record -- and that excludes guarantee mechanisms that provide for an all-inclusive $450 million in guarantees. Also, the Chiefs and Mahomes plan to re-visit the agreement, which gives the two-time MVP another payday.
