The Facts: According to ESPN.com's Katherine Terrell, most of the top plays in Monday's practice involved Thomas, who had his most involved day of camp so far after having a light day on Saturday. Quarterback Derek Carr threw two short passes to Thomas in the first set of team drills, then targeted him three straight times on the next set.
Diehards Line:
Cornerback Marshon Lattimore got the best of him with a pass breakup on a slant route on one play, but Carr went straight back to Thomas, rolling out of the pocket and pointing at him before confidently getting him the ball. Thomas caught two touchdown passes in the season opener last season, displaying hope he could reach his past form before the latest injury changed the situation. The three-time Pro Bowler has 21 100-yard outings during his career with 10 of them occurring in a 2019 campaign that included 149 catches and 1,725 yards. Thomas also has 18 games of 10 or more catches so you see how much Carr would like to see him healthy.
