The Facts: The Cleveland Browns are trading for Moore, sending a second-round draft pick to the New York Jets in exchange for the pass-catcher and a third-rounder, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Wednesday, per sources.
Diehards Line:
To add to their wide receiver room, the Browns are trading away their top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the No. 42 pick, but getting back the No. 74 pick in the trade, per Rapoport. Moore started 17 games over two seasons with Gang Green, collecting 984 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 80 catches. Moore reportedly asked for a trade during the 2022 season after an alleged “blow up” with then-OC Mike LaFleur. But he ended up staying with the team and was on the field for 66 percent of the team’s offensive snaps. Only Garrett Wilson played more offensive snaps at the receiver position. Still, Moore caught just 37 passes for 446 yards with a touchdown. A second-round pick in 2021, Moore caught 43 passes for 538 yards with five TDs as a rookie. Moore should be a strong complement to Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones at receiver for Cleveland’s offense.
