The Facts: The Jaguars have signed running back Hasty to a contract extension. Terms have not been disclosed.

Diehards Line: Hasty was set to be a restricted free agent this offseason. He finished the 2022 season with 46 carries for 194 yards and a pair of TDs on the ground with another touchdown and 126 yards on 20 catches. Originally an undrafted free agent out of Baylor, the 26-year-old Hasty spent the first two seasons of his NFL career with the 49ers. He is primarily a passing-down back and also returns kicks. It's fair to view this as good news for Travis Etienne Jr. as the Jaguars seem less likely to bring in another player who might push Etienne for snaps.
