The Facts: The Falcons tendered Zaccheaus at the right-of-first-refusal number of $2.433 million, per his agent.
Diehards Line:
Given the overall uncertainty at wideout in Atlanta, securing a right of first refusal tender on Zaccheaus puts them in position to retain him for another season. Zacchaeus was a nice complementary piece last season, as he caught 31 passes for 406 yards and three touchdowns. With Calvin Ridley suspended for at least the 2022 season and Russell Gage testing the free-agent market, keeping some continuity is a reasonable goal. So is upgrading at the position beyond that. We'll be watching for more.
