The Facts: The Patriots re-signed Folk to a two-year, $5 million contract extension that includes $2.19 million guaranteed. Max $5.6M with incentives.
Diehards Line:
The Patriots signed Nick Folk in the middle of the 2019 season. After being released following an appendectomy, the Patriots re-signed him in December of that year. He was once viewed as a kicker that could provide the Patriots organization with short-term production. In 2019, he made all 12 of his extra points. He went 30 of 33 in extra points, in 2020 and 42 of 47 in extra points in 2021. He has been a mark of consistency for New England, and he has given them stability following the departure of long-time kicker Steven Gostkowski. He has now turned into the full-time kicker for New England.
