The Facts: According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Seahawks are looking to swoop in on Brown, especially if he remains unsigned by the Buccaneers in the spring and summer. Another target for Seattle is free-agent wide receiver Marquise Goodwin, who last played for the San Francisco 49ers.
Diehards Line:
According to Fowler, the Seahawks are looking to add Brown and Goodwin as a way to bridge some of Russell Wilson's frustration after the team's struggles last season. Despite a strong start in 2020 and a 12-4 record at the end of the regular season, the Seahawks suffered an early exit in the Wild Card Round at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams. At the end of the season, Wilson aired his frustrations regarding how many times he gets hit and said that wants more involvement in the team's personnel decisions. Adding Brown to their offense will not improve the Seahawks' pass protection, but will give Wilson another potential weapon alongside DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
