The Facts: The 49ers are placing Tevin Coleman on injured reserve with a knee injury.

Diehards Line:Coleman will be out at least three weeks and the 49ers are also expected to miss Raheem Mostert for at least Week 3. Both players suffered knee injures in Week 2. That leaves Jerick McKinnon and Jeff Wilson Jr. as the backs to target in the San Francisco backfield. McKinnon will get most of the receiving work but don't rule out Wilson to lead the backfield in carries.
