The Facts:
GM Jon Robinson and Vin Marino, who is in charge of the Titans' salary cap, have continued discussions with Henry’s representation at CAA about a long-term deal. Although no extension is on the verge of happening, there is the possibility that talks could accelerate in the final week with the deadline approaching.
Diehards Line:
The Titans have just one week left to reach an agreement with Henry on a contract extension. Otherwise the star running back will be playing 2020 on the $10.278 million franchise tag the team placed on him back in the spring.
Henry has already signed the tender, which means there will not be a holdout from his side in training camp despite the franchise tag.
