The Facts: Nothing is going to replicate on-field practices, but Bengals coaches are making the most of their voluntary virtual meetings with the team. OC Brian Callahan and Bengals coaches are conducting comprehensive Zoom video calls prioritizing attention to minute details. It’s an approach Callahan believes will pay dividends on the Bengals young quarterback room. The Bengals offensive coordinator is already seeing progress from the No. 1 overall pick. “Burrow’s been outstanding and so have all the other quarterbacks. It’s been fun. We really get to talk about a lot of things that sometimes you don’t get to talk about this time of year because we are just meeting a lot. I’m sure they are tired of meeting. I know it kind of wears on you eventually. They’ve been locked in and they’ve been responding to everything,” Callahan said.

The Bengals have the youngest quarterback room in the NFL. Callahan believes it’s advantageous to teach Burrow, Ryan Finley and Jake Dolegala the basics and advance from there. There’s a chance Burrow and the Bengals will get some on-field work done in June. All offseason programs must conclude by June 26. If not, the Bengals are operating under the assumption that training camp and the regular season will start on time. In the interim, Bengals coaches are committed to being methodical virtually. ...
