The Facts: The Bears are declining the fifth-year option on Trubisky, a source tells NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Diehards Line:
Pelissero adds the team has liked Trubisky’s attitude since the Nick Foles trade and it’ll be an open competition. There's a chance for Trubisky to make himself a lot of money before his contract expires next March. But as of now -- as Profootballtalk.com chimed in, it appears that the Bears, who traded up to the second-pick overall for Trubisky in 2017 when they could have stayed put or even traded down and drafted Patrick Mahomes or Deshaun Watson, are going to be done with Trubisky at the end of this year.
