The Facts: The Dolphins traded their fifth round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft for Breida.
Diehards Line:Worth noting that reporting last week suggested Tevin Coleman was a player who could be traded. The 49ers had Breida, Coleman, Raheem Mostert, Jerick McKinnon and Jeff Wilson on the roster prior to this deal. Mostert was an absolute beast in the playoffs last season and is probably someone they would like to keep. McKinnon is returning from injury, but already agreed to a pay cut. Breida had 123 carries for 623 yards and one touchdown in 13 games last season. He added 20 catches for 120 yards and a score. He was used sparingly down the stretch with only 17 carries for 46 yards and just 33 offensive snaps in the final three regular-season games and playoffs. In Miami, he'll join a committe currently headed by free-agent addition Jordan Howard.
