The Facts: A crowded San Francisco 49ers stable of running backs isn't thinning any as of now. Breida has signed his one-year tender, the team announced on Thursday afternoon.
Diehards Line:
Breida was tendered a one-year contract on March 17. Breida had 123 carries for 623 yards and one touchdown in 13 games last season. He added 20 catches for 120 yards and a score. He was used sparingly down the stretch with only 17 carries for 46 yards and just 33 offensive snaps in the final three regular-season games and playoffs. He'll continue to compete for touches with a group that will including Raheem Mostert, Tevin Coleman and Jerick McKinnon, who hopes to return from a knee injury.
