The Facts: The Dolphins Howard reached agreement on a two-year deal worth north of $10 million, a source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Diehards Line:
The 25-year-old, has been recovering from a shoulder stinger he suffered late in the fourth quarter while playing for the Eagles -- against his former team, the Bears -- on Nov. 3. At the time he was injured, he led the team in rushing. Howard sat out six games and was activated late in the season but he played only one snap as a decoy upon return. But he averaged 4.4 yards per carry and flashed when healthy. He'll join Kalen Ballage, Patrick Laird and Myles Gaskin in what's been an unimpressive and unproductive backfield in Miami. If healthy, there will be an ample role as an early-down runner.
