The Facts: OC Brian Callahan says Eifert is "trending in the right direction," according to Richard Skinner of WKRC in Cincinnati.
Diehards Line:
As theRedZone.org notes, Eifert has been rehabbing an ankle injury and sat out minicamp but did get some work in OTAs. When healthy, he's nearly impossible to defend and has been a key component of the offense. Adding to the intrigue, rookie TE Drew Sample's early efforts have been impressive enough for observers to suggest he'll be ready to make an immediate contribution as a blocker, allowing new HC ac Taylor to maximize Eifert's unique talents in the passing attack to an even greater effect. It's something worth watching even if you don't want to pay up for it.
