The Facts: Evans tweaked his hamstring, which is why he sat out all three days of the Bucs mandatory minicamp. He was jogging off to the side with trainers, however. "No sense in aggravating it this time of year," coach Bruce Arians said.
Diehards Line:
As CBSSports.com recently suggested, Evans may have just had his most complete season as a wide receiver. Evans caught 60 percent of his targets for the first time of his career and set a career best in yards per reception (17.7). He was just the third receiver in the past 10 years to average better than 11 yards per target (minimum 100 targets). But the role diminished somewhat in recent seasons. That said, DeSean Jackson and Adam Humphries are gone. Chris Godwin seems like a player on the rise, but he's not proven. Don't be surprised if Evans' workload increases again this fall.
