The Facts: The Panthers announced they have signed Hogan to a one-year contract.
Diehards Line:
Hogan, 31, a two-time Super Bowl champ, was playing for the Patriots on a three-year contract with a $4 million average annual salary so it's safe to assume the Panthers didn't have to break the bank to land him at this point. That's especially true given Hogan's failure to meet expectations in New England last season. He finished 2018 with just 35 catches and his career high is 41 catches (with the Bills in 2014). He turns 31 this coming October, but he'll provide some veteran presence to Carolina receiving corps loaded with young playmakers like D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel.
