The Facts: The Raiders have released Nelson, a source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Diehards Line:
Given the infusion of new talent at the position with Antonio Brown and Tyrell Williams added this week, Nelson's release isn't a shock. Remember, after a slow start in Oakland, Nelson actually came on strong at the end of last season. He had 38 catches over the last five weeks of 2018, third most in the NFL over that time. Moving on from Nelson will save about $3.5 million in cap space. We'll see if he draws interest as a free agent.
