The Facts: According to SiriusXM NFL Radio's Adam Caplan, the Bears and Braunecker agreed to a 2-year deal.
Diehards Line:
The Bears didn't tender him as an RFA so getting a deal done early secures his services before he was able to hit the open market. Remember, the Bears recently released veteran Dion Simms, so Braunecker will be third man on the depth chart behind Trey Burton and Adam Shaheen. The Harvard product caught three passes for 42 yards last season, but is also a key special teamer for the Bears.
