The Facts: Hyde is signing with the Chiefs today, a source tells NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Diehards Line:
ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the same. Rapoport added it's a one-year deal worth just under $3 million. Hyde provides solid depth and experience behind current RB1 Damien Williams. Remember: ESPN's Matthew Berry spoke with multiple Chiefs sources at the NFL Scouting Combine, it was clear this is going to be Williams' job. "They love what Williams offers relative to how they want the offense to run," Berry noted. Given all that, the best-case scenario here would be the presence of Hyde forces Williams' ADP down a bit. But the worst-case scenario -- Hyde cutting into Williams' snaps -- is worth considering as well.
