The Facts: The Jaguars have released Hyde, a source tells NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Diehards Line:Today's news comes after recent reports indicating the Jags were trying to trade Hyde, who had 189 rushing yards and a ghastly 3.3 yards per carry with the Jaguars after being acquired from Cleveland near the trade deadline last October. That move came with Leonard Fournette dealing with injury and attitude issues -- the latter of which, Fournette and the Jags seem to have worked through. So, an untenable contract which had Hyde slated to make $10 million over the next two years certainly came into play as well as the fence mending between the team and Fournette, put the former 49er and Brown on the open market.
