The Facts: Following up on a previous item. ... According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the hope is that Newton is back, throwing, by OTAs after shoulder surgery yesterday.

Rapoport went on to advise viewers the surgery was "somewhat minor" -- or at least as minor as can be when dealing with an NFL quarterbacks' throwing shoulder. The best aspect of what's obviously not a great situations, would be the fact that Newton had the surgery in January rather than waiting until late March as he did prior to his previous shoulder surgery two years ago. ...
