The Facts: Hurns informed ESPN's Josina Anderson he'll be joining the Cowboys. āIām going to sign with Dallas,ā Hurns said.
Diehards Line:
Hurns, just released by the Jaguars, visited Dallas early this week. Remember, the Cowboys made an effort on Sammy Watkins and Allen Robinson early in free agency (which, as Profootballtalk.com reminded readers, did nothing to quell the speculation about Dez Bryant's future with the club). Hurns caught just 39 passes last year for the Jaguars, who let him go in a cap move after signing Marqise Lee and Donte Moncrief. But Hurns has been productive, with 64 catches for 1,031 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2015. He'll likely compete with Terrance Williams for the spot opposite Bryant, although Hurns is also capable of working out of the slot, where he could limit Cole Beasley's looks. ... We'll follow up as needed.
