The Facts: Before former Titans’ RB DeMarco Murray arrives in Detroit later today, Stewart is scheduled to visit first today with the Lions, per source.
Diehards Line:
Detroit is obviously looking for running back help -- which should come as no surprise. The Lions had the worst rushing game in the NFL last season and GM Bob Quinn said it's a given they will add another piece to their backfield this spring. As the Sports Xchange reminded readers, Ameer Abdullah was a major disappointment in his return from Lisfranc surgery. He led the Lions with 552 yards rushing and four touchdowns, but he was relegated to third-string duties late in the year. Theo Riddick caught 53 passes, but wasn't the same dynamic weapon he was in previous seasons. Tion Green showed some promise as an undrafted rookie, while Zach Zenner and Dwayne Washington may have played their last snaps in Detroit.
