The Facts: Treadwell, whose first two seasons in Minnesota have been disappointing, also could use a change of scenery. He has struggled to find a role among a loaded group of receivers. The Vikings could be proactive this offseason in looking for a place to trade him and could possibly pick up a mid-round draft pick in exchange.
Diehards Line:
This according to ESPN.com's Courtney Cronin -- and it obviously makes sense. Starters Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs are fast, talented and excellent route-runners. They complement each other very well, but are similar players in size and skill set. The Vikings still need a big receiver to complement them. Unfortunately, Treadwell, the team's 2016 first-round draft pick, hasn't developed into that player. And it appears he lacks the speed to become that bigger body that can win contested deep balls. Michael Floyd was trending toward that ability in training camp, but fizzled and caught only 10 balls.
