The Facts: Sproles, on IR, tells NFL Network's Ian Rapoport he's leaning toward returning to play, rather than retire. Sproles doesn't want to go out with an injury. "I want to go out on my terms," he said.
Diehards Line:
This is consistent with what Sproles has been saying for more than a month now. ... Sproles went down for the season in Week 3 when he broke his forearm and tore his ACL on the same play against the Giants the last week of September. A final decision about what comes next is pending, but Sproles is rehabbing with the intent of continuing his career. "I don't have to play next year, but I'm leaning towards coming back," Sproles said in December.. "I can't end like this." Sproles doesn’t have a contract for this season, so any return wouldn’t necessarily come with the Eagles. But it sounds like a return is coming.
