The Facts: The Jets claimed former Ellington, who was waived by the 49ers.
Diehards Line:
Ellington spent last year on IR with a torn hamstring, and he caught just 19 passes in the two years prior. But the 49ers held onto the former fourth-rounder in hopes he’d develop into a slot receiver. Now the Jets will see if he can break into their rotation. For what it's worth, new Jets OC John Morton was WRs coach in San Francisco when then the Niners drafted Ellington in 2014.
