The Facts: The Ravens have signed Campanaro to a one-year deal.
Diehards Line:
Campanaro, 26, was a restricted free agent and the Ravens initially placed an original-round tender on him last month. ... Campanaro played in three games last season for Baltimore after spending the first half of the year rehabbing from a calf injury. He then worked his way up from the practice squad and took over the starting punt return job late in the year. He will compete for the starting returner jobs again this year, and gives the Ravens a valuable target in the slot if he’s able to stay healthy. If that's the case, Baltimore Sun staffer Jeff Zrebiec believes Campanaro could be a key piece at wideout behind Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman.
