The Facts: The Big Three of Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell, the nucleus of the Steelers' offense, will almost certainly be back, according to GM Kevin Colbert. But they won't be the only ones. Despite his history with concussions, including one that ended his season in December, Green is expected to remain with the Steelers.

Diehards Line: There had been speculation that the Steelers could part ways after playing just six games in the first season of his five-year, $20 million contract. When he played, Colbert said that Green -- who had 18 receptions for 304 yards (16.9 yards per catch) -- was everything the Steelers expected. He also reiterated that Green started the season on the PUP list because of ankle surgery, not head injuries. If and when Green passes the league’s concussion protocol, Colbert expects the tight end back for the start of spring practices. “We don’t play (preseason games) until August, so he’s got time to heal properly,” Colbert said Thursday. “In any concussion, the one thing we do know is that you have to give it time to properly heal before you re-enter into competition. And that’s where he is. He’s entering the off-season. He’s excited about being able to come back and being able to play. And we’ll see where he is when he gets back in the program in March or April, whenever he comes back here. ...” Yes. It has to be a little worrisome that Green remains in the concussion protocol. It's something we'll be watching closely in coming weeks.
