The Facts: Eddie Lacy and Aaron Ripkowski are the only running backs set to play for the Packers against the Cowboys on Sunday afternoon and it looks like it may be that way for a little while longer if the Packers don't make a roster move. Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that Starks had knee surgery on Sunday morning and is expected to miss a couple of weeks while he recovers. Starks was ruled out of Sunday's game on Saturday.
Diehards Line:
As PFT notes, Lacy is listed as questionable to play after hurting his ankle against the Giants last weekend, but all signs have pointed to him playing on Sunday afternoon. Ripkowski had his first two NFL carries last weekend, picking up 17 yards and moving the pile impressively on one 13-yard gain. The limited options on hand may lead the Packers to use wide receivers Randall Cobb and Ty Montgomery at running back at times against Dallas.
