The Facts: Pitta left the Ravens' Monday night stadium practice with a sprained finger, and HC John Harbaugh said Pitta will miss some time with the injury.
Diehards Line:
Pitta hasn’t played in a game since Sept. 2014 and has only played in seven games since 2012. Two serious hip injuries nearly ended his career, so by comparison a finger injury shouldn’t be a big deal. As PFT notes, Pitta had become one of Joe Flacco’s favorite targets before the injuries and still has some rust to shake off, so he’ll be anxious to get back to full health. The Ravens are well stocked at tight end with the addition of veteran Ben Watson to join a room that includes two players who got plenty of work in Pitta’s absence last season, Crockett Gillmore and Maxx Williams.
